By accessing or using illustration.lol, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

About the service

illustration.lol is a curated editorial illustration platform operated by Design LOL LLC. We showcase editorial illustrations alongside attribution to the illustrators, art directors, and publications involved. The site exists to celebrate and catalog editorial illustration work.

We are not affiliated with the publishers, agencies, or individuals whose work is featured unless explicitly stated.

Intellectual property

Content removal

We respect the rights of creators, publishers, and featured professionals. If you are a rights holder and would like an illustration removed from the site, or if you are a featured professional and would like your profile information updated or removed, please contact us at privacy@illustration.lol with the following:

• Your name and relationship to the content
• The specific content you would like removed or corrected
• A link to the page(s) in question

We will review and respond to removal requests within 30 days. Verified requests from rights holders will be honored promptly.

Profiles of creative professionals

illustration.lol displays publicly available professional information about illustrators and art directors, including names, locations, public social media profiles, and credited work. This information is sourced from published editorial credits and publicly available professional profiles.

No endorsement by featured individuals is implied. We do not display private information such as personal email addresses, home addresses, or phone numbers.

Featured professionals can request corrections or removal of their information at any time by contacting privacy@illustration.lol.

Submissions

When you submit an illustration via our submit page, you represent that the content is publicly available and that you are not submitting anything misleading or harmful.

Submitting an article URL does not grant illustration.lol any license to the illustration itself. Submissions are editorial suggestions for review, not guaranteed for inclusion. We reserve the right to accept, reject, or defer any submission without explanation.

Your personal information (name and email) is used only for internal review purposes and is not added to any mailing list.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from the site using automated tools
• Reproduce illustrations from the site without permission from the rights holder
• Use profile data to contact featured professionals in an unwanted, abusive, or commercial manner
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to admin features or systems
• Use the site for any purpose that violates applicable law

Third-party links

The site links to external articles, illustrator portfolios, publisher websites, and social media profiles. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these external sites.

Disclaimers

illustration.lol is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees about the accuracy of editorial credits, the completeness of the illustration catalog, or the continuous availability of the service.

Credit information is sourced from public editorial records and may contain errors. We welcome corrections — please contact us at privacy@illustration.lol.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Design LOL LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of illustration.lol, including but not limited to inaccurate credits, unavailability of the service, or content displayed from third-party sources.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
